Subject and Object Pronouns

Pronomes são pequenas palavras usadas para substituir nomes e substantivos, principalmente quando se faz necessário a repetição dessas palavras em um contexto.
   Ex.:  Jack is fine.   |     The dog is black.
             He is fine.       |     It is black.

Pronome Sujeito (ou Pronome Pessoal Reto) é aquele que faz a ação da frase.
   Ex.:  He loves Ana.

Pronome Objeto (ou Pronome Oblíquo) é aquele que recebe a ação da frase. Dependendo da ação (verbo) pode haver dois objetos, o direto (o que foi feito) e o indireto (para quem foi feito).
   Ex.:  Joe gave it to her.
                              o.d.       o.i.

Return them to your teacher for correction and scoring.

Writing numbers: Cardinals for Quantities and Ordinals for Dates and orders

Can you write 9999 (nine thousand nine hundred ninety-nine) in full? Why do numbers in dates end in 'th' or other strange letters (e.g.: June 12th)? If your answer is 'no' or 'I don't know', you'd better check out this exercise and get some tips. Return it to the teacher for correction and scoring.

Evaluation: Writing a Text


Write a text on your notebook with the answers to these questions.

1) What are your parents' names
2) Where are they from?
3) How old are they?
4) What do they do? (Profession)
5) What are they like? (Personality)

My parents

My parents' names are Samuel and Dora. My father is from Porto Alegre, RS and my mother is from São João do Sul, SC. He is 70 years old and she is 67 years old. He is a taxi driver and she is a housewife. He is very strict and she is calm.
